Ciudad de la señora de la Asunción

Here we are, safe and sound in Paraguay. Temperatures just over 30 degrees and pretty humid.
The guarani values about 2070 to a peso, change into your own currency if you like.

Was a bit strange to say goodbye to Lorena, knowing that I'll only be gone for about 2 weeks, but yes, after a while I managed to go. Nearly 16 hours of semi cama bus stopping in every pueblo with a busstation en route. The road from Metan to Resistencia was once entirely paved, but it manages today to more than equal the pothole status of many Irish roads. Hostels seem to be non-existant, so I am staying in Hotel Atlantic for 25.000 Gs per night, still cheaper than the average dorm in Argentina. As usual I am just wandering around the city looking at whatever I encounter. Currently cooling myself a bit in a cybercafe.

Saturday I'll be going on to Encarnación, I think.
